先后承担和参加国家“九五”、“十五”科技攻关、国家973计划前期专项、国家863计划子项、国家经贸委、国家重点研发计划子课题、国家自然科学基金、湖北省自然科学重点基金、江苏省“双创人才”、“科技副总”和河南省科技创新杰出人才以及宝钢、武钢、马钢等课题研究。获国家科技进步二等奖2项,省级科技奖励一等奖4项、二等奖2项、三等奖3项,教育部科研成果1项,国家重点新产品1项。国家发明专利授权50余项。在国内外重要刊物和学术会议上发表论文130余篇,参编著作2部。获宝钢优秀教师奖、湖北省十佳师德标兵、湖北省五一劳动奖章、湖北省有突出贡献中青年专家、中国金属学会十佳科技工作者、中国钢铁工业优秀科技工作者等荣誉。兼任中国金属学会耐火材料分会副主任委员等。
